SUMMARY:StoryWalk® Anniversary Celebration at St. Albans City Park
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, September 19\, 20261:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.St. Albans City Park Nature Trail \nCelebrate two years of reading\, exploring and making memories on the trail at the St. Albans StoryWalk® Anniversary Celebration! \nFamilies are invited to St. Albans City Park for an afternoon celebrating literacy\, nature and outdoor fun. Walk the Nature Trail and enjoy this year’s featured StoryWalk® selection\, “The Wonky Donkey\,” while taking part in activities for kids throughout the afternoon. \nThe celebration is planned to include crafts and activities from the library\, face painting\, sidewalk chalk\, rock and critter painting\, temporary tattoos\, book readings\, prizes and the “Blind Date with a Book” giveaway. Kids who complete the StoryWalk® will also receive a special Wonky Donkey keepsake. \nThe Blenko Glass Mobile Glass Unit will be on site near the Maintenance Building for a special glass demonstration. Additional guests and activities are planned throughout the afternoon\, including the Kanawha Obedience Training Club\, therapy and comfort Great Dane Sir Blue\, and representatives from the St. Albans Police Department. \nCome discover a new book\, enjoy the outdoors and help us celebrate another year of bringing reading and recreation together at St. Albans City Park. \nAdmission is free\, and families are welcome to stop by anytime between 1 and 4 p.m. \nAdditional activities and participating guests are subject to change as event plans are finalized. \nSources: Event information and planning notes provided by St. Albans Parks & Recreation Department; event flyer provided in this conversation.
